With regards to the ongoing series of Genesis (Little Victories), I continually create numerous small-scale ceramic objects in my studio practice. These small pieces not only inform my larger-scale ceramic work, but also allow me the ability to enjoy “little victories” in the studio. There are all too often failures in a studio practice, so this exercise realigns that balance. At the core, these playful objects explore the notions of unfiltered play in the studio and the process that comes along with clay as a material.
